07 Apr Notable From the World Energy Outlook
Research presented at the latest World Energy Outlook offered several insights that support the vision of companies such as Enginuity Power Systems, and products like our upcoming E|ONE, a private home generation appliance, for the home.
A key finding was that “electricity production is being re-shaped by technology development and by energy security and sustainability goals.” In other words, in a world that has been dominated by terrible inefficiencies in energy production and transmission, and more recently plagued by power outages and rolling blackouts, we are not going back to the ways things were. Everyone from regional planners to residential developers to new and improved homeowners would be advised to invest in theses technology developments to benefit from the cost savings – and cleaner air – they provide.
What do we base this on? According to the Conference, “renewables and nuclear power combined generated more electricity than coal for the first time in 2019 and are on track to open a permanent lead.” The report goes on to say that what drives this growth is widespread policy support in over 130 countries around the world – by last count.
Another key finding: “power system flexibility is the cornerstone of electricity security in modern power systems.” Here is where the E|ONE serves as an outstanding stand-alone, or adjunct, power system for other options such as solar and wind.
When the E|ONE comes to market it will immediately tap into the established natural gas grid, or alternatively stored propane, to allow homes to potentially approach net zero power operation – or go off the grid and enjoy three times the energy efficiency.
World energy generation is changing, and we are changing with it. Visit the PRODUCTS tab at our website to learn about another alternative on how you can, too.
