Checking All The Boxes

The proposed $2.25 trillion U.S. infrastructure plan recently announced includes investments in clean energy to help bolster the U.S. economy while combating climate change.

The proposal includes massive green initiatives in the areas of energy efficiency standards, building efficiency, grid resiliency and commercial and residential upgrades – resulting in reduction in energy bills and carbon pollution. Plus there’s more.

It’s a key indicator of where most of the world is likely headed on improved energy efficiency and the reduction of carbon emissions.

Less waste and cleaner are air are dramatic goals that millions of people in dozens of countries can easily rally around. But let’s not forget that “going green” can also be very pragmatic – translating into daily savings for the average homeowner and small business. Smart investments in site-based energy generation, energy efficient features and appliances, and space and water heating alternatives collectively can reduce operating costs by billions of dollars over the years. This is where Enginuity’s upcoming E|ONE, a private home generation appliance, can play a critical role.

The U.S. Department of Energy is about to test the E|ONE as part of a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), with the goal of propelling the platform toward commercialization in 2022.

The E|ONE checks all the above boxes for a smart investment: it provides clean electric power generation and home heating needs, and it is a highly efficient appliance that can be easily installed within a home or small business, all of this readily powered by the safe-from-storms natural gas grid or stored propane. Our power technology is also uniquely suitable to the characteristics of lower carbon fuels such as hydrogen, renewable natural gas and propane/DME mixtures. Finally, our unit will enable households to sell power back to the grid, and create smart grids that enhances grid resiliency overall, lowering homeowners’ power bills.

Like state-of-the-art solar and photovoltaics, E|ONE is a green technology whose time has come… and it is coming soon.
